Between January and November 2025, Superteam's Nigeria chapter paid out $1,179,340 to local builders: $426,500 in grants, $464,904 in bounties on Superteam Earn, and $190,465 in hackathon prizes. It crossed the million mark in August.
This is money earned rather than donated: developers, designers, writers and community managers doing paid work for projects across the ecosystem, from Lagos. The chapter didn't exist in 2023.
Superteam Vietnam passed the same milestone, with a record $183,980 in April 2025 alone. Twenty-six country chapters now run the same model.
